An example of the Ridgefield Housing Authorities properties is Prospect Ridge Meadows (pictured above).
This development features four new, two-story buildings, each containing 5 units of quality family rental housing (for a total of 20 units). All of the units rent to low- and moderate-income families.
Designed to match the style of the existing units at Prospect Ridge, the new buildings use elements and concepts of “green-building” technology to limit energy consumption, helping to keep the units affordable to operate.
This initiative was sponsored by the Ridgefield Housing Authority (RHA) and the Ridgefield Affordable Housing Committee, and represents a financial partnership involving the Town of Ridgefield, the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), the Ridgefield Bank, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston (FHLB), Northeast Utilities, and the Connecticut Housing Investment Fund (CHIF).
